My Qualifications and Experience
I am Accredited and Registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and on the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors. This assures you a high standard of professional care.
BACP Accreditation is not a qualification in itself but an additional undertaking which takes some years to achieve and involves a substantial level of training and experience approved by BACP. Not all those who call themselves counsellors are accredited. When searching for a counsellor BACP Accreditation acts as a kitemark.

Relate Certified Couple Counsellor
I have undertaken additional specialist training in relationship counselling and I am a RELATE Certified Couple and Relationship Counsellor. Relate counsellors have received additional specialist training in couple counselling. It takes two to three years to become a fully qualified Relate counsellor. Not all counsellors are trained in working with couples and it is important to find a counsellor trained in relationship and couple work.
My qualifications include:
Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Advanced Diploma in Human Relations Practice
Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision
Relate Certificate in Marital and Couples Counselling
Certificate In Solution Focussed Brief Counselling
Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring

My clinical experience:
X
I began my training as a Counsellor in 1997 and began working as a Counsellor in 2000 within the NHS offering counselling within a GP practice and also with RELATE counselling both couples and individuals with relationship issues.
X
I established my independent practice in 2002. People come to me through their Employee Assistance Programs at work, referred by their G.P, or via the internet. However, the majority of my work comes through personal recommendation, which I find particularly rewarding.
X
I also spend a high proportion of my time offering clinical supervision to other counsellors, counselling students and other in the caring professions.
