My Qualifications and Experience
I am Accredited and
Registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
(BACP) and on the United Kingdom
Register of Counsellors. This assures you a high standard of professional
care. Accreditation is not a qualification in itself but an additional
undertaking which takes some years to achieve and involves a substantial level
of training and experience approved by BACP. Not all those who call themselves
counsellors are accredited or professionally qualified. When searching for a
counsellor BACP accreditation acts as a kitemark and assures you a high standard
of professional care.
I have undertaken additional training in relationship counselling and I am a RELATE certified couple and relationship counsellor.

My clinical experience:
I began my training as a Counsellor in 1997 and
began working as a Counsellor in 2000 within the NHS offering time limited brief
counselling in a GP practice and also with RELATE counselling both couples and
individuals with relationship issues.
I established my independent practice in 2002. People come to me through their Employee Assistance Programs, referred by their G.P, or via the internet. However, the majority of my work comes through personal recommendation, which I find particularly rewarding.
